The structure of water is informed and changed by its environment. Water records and transports information. Love, gratitude, prayer, give form, clarify, and are manifest in water as the most beautiful hexagonal crystals. We make a difference to all life on earth with our prayers, with our love, with our simple Presence. All life, natural beauty and sound inform our well-being through the water in our bodies. A few nights ago I was honored to spend some time with Masaru Emoto in person. I’ve known for some years of his work. Those of you who have visited have seen the labels like ‘Divine Guidance’, ‘Synchronicity’, ‘Love’, ‘Joy’, ‘Thanksgiving’, etc. on my water bottles. I figured it sure can’t hurt to take in all that good energy and then to pee back out on mother earth! Emoto did a slide presentation of the forms of different waters he has collected over the past ten years. What I saw has deepened and changed my life for ever – and my understanding of prayer, the importance of the dances we share, and simply how we be in gratitude with others moment-to-moment. Emoto showed slide after slide of various polluted waters (open water ways and various city tap waters) – which created am orphic shapes. He then showed us slides from the same water supplies after the following. These waters were prayed upon, had music played to them, sat in the presence of sacred art, or simply beautiful photographs of nature, or had words or short phrases attached to them. [See his web for the exquisite ‘crystal of the month’ formed in the presence of cherry blossoms: www.masaru-emoto.com]. All of these contacts created in the water beautiful and uniquely different hexagonal crystals. The crystal formed from viewing a picture of Sedona Red Rocks was one of the most brilliant, intricate and delicate. No wonder we love living here! Even phrases like “Do it” and “Let’s do it” imparted very different information to the water: the command distorted the crystalline form of the water to look more like the polluted waters, while the invitation “let’s” created again great symmetrical hexagonal beauty in the crystals. Compassionate Communication (see Marshall Rosenberg: www.cnvc.org) here I come! Most of Emoto’s experiments were done with a small sample of water. Remarkably, through resonance, water taken from the same source as the sample (say a lake) after the sample was prayed upon, also showed beautiful crystals. He showed pictures of water taken a month after the prayer ceremony from the same (previously polluted) lake – still with beautiful crystals. We’ve all heard prayer works for healing. Emoto had a seminar with 200 people in Israel. As an experiment to document the power of prayer, he showed them a picture of his office back home in Tokyo with a jar of water on his desk. Via the gift of email, he was able to feed back to his prayer group, pictures of the beautiful crystals into which the prayed-upon water transformed. So, now to you and me and our prayers and our dancing. Emoto showed us two pictures of water crystals taken one after the other with the same water source and the same group of people. In the first, the group was simply holding hands in a circle, as we do in so many dances, as they sent love and thanks to the water. This showed a beautiful, simple hexagonal crystal. In the second, same people, same water, same prayer, he had them place their hands in the “Namaste” prayer position as they prayed. The crystal that emerged from that showed at each point of the hexagon, two “hands” or crystal flowers, praying to each other. One last piece of information about Emoto’s water research: Water responds to what happens on the planet prior to or simultaneously with the happening. Water reliably looses its crystalline form just prior to an earthquake. Emoto also found that the metallics in the water in Japan responded to the bombing that opened the first Gulf war – as it was happening and before he had heard the news. I’m wondering if my powerful bodily response to the impact of the planes on the towers on 9-11 was carried through resonance by the water in my body. I felt this physically before I had heard the news; by clock time my reaction came between the times of when the two planes hit the towers. FYI: A 111 minute long movie has been just released about Emoto’s work. Look for it at “Whatthebleep.com”. Think about it, we are born of water, our bodies are 70-80% water, all life exists because of water, and all fruit is nourished by water. Let us take care of our water / ourselves. Oh Water I honor Thee, in gratitude I bow to you. Thank you for the Life you give. By Marianna Hartsong Awesome Water Research of Masaru Emoto: http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/entop.html
