In June, 1999, in a sacred lava cave on Hawaii, Barbara DeFranco gave me this mantra to share as I traveled the mainland. Two kapunas (elders) had given it to her after they received it from four ancestral female spirits in this same cave. It was time to integrate it in their teachings. The mantra later began chanting through me asking to be shared in song. I offer it now with respect and love. It has become an integral part of many women's circles and is meant to be shared in sacred ceremony for all to benefit. May we all have the courage to live the truth and wisdom of our hearts.
